Update From Chicago

All right folks, this is my first official blog. Thanks, Brian for setting this up. This looks like a great way to keep in touch. Anyway, the past year has been pretty exciting for us. Ryan just turned two, and he's been quite a handful. Ryan is quite the mischievous boy....I don't know where he gets it. He loves to play on the swings, hang out in the swimming pool, and watch football with his daddy. I took Ryan to his first baseball game this summer, and of course he was more interested in the souvenir cup then the game.

Other than hanging out with Ryan, we've been keeping busy spending time with family and friends. The Park's (Andy and Sung) moved back to Chicago this summer, and it's been great having some fellow Dukies around.
My golf game is still poor, but it's nice to get out every once in a while. But the last few years, I've been involved in playing in a softball league with other churches in the area, so that has led to my diminishing skills on the course (among other things).

Well, let's hope our beloved Dukies can make some type of run in the tournament. Ryan is already preparing to enter the class of 2022 to hopefully play for Coach K if he's still coaching. He's working on his dunking here.

Thanks for posting, Eric. I guess Josh will have to follow Ryan to Duke, 2 years behind him, just like their dads. :) Maybe they'll take a religion class together and become buds.

dude... he's a mini margaret... hopefully he'll inherit her athletic skills, and not yours... that will give him a chance at being proficient in at least one sport... :)

cute kid... he's changed SO much... we gotta hook up in 2007... time is flying by way too fast... :)

haha, Arnold just mentioned that Ryan looks exactly like you, and I replied that I thought he looked exactly like Margaret. Go figure *shrug* Genes are freaky, huh?

Eric - I hate to break the news to little Ryan, but the big boys play on 10 foot goals so he can dunk on his little goal for now, but make sure he knows how to do the Asian lay-up. Just kidding, Easy-E! Good to hear that things are going well!

hey betty... maybe you could arrange to have ryan perm his hair... i could tell for sure if he looked like eric or margaret that way... i have a very firm picture ingrained in my mind of eric that i'd like to compare him to ... i think that would erase any argument between you and arnold as well.......
